The third DXpedition in 1965

This third DXpedition had also the Himalaya countries as target. The bigest sponsor for this DXpedition was Hammarlund, on of the first companies who brought SSB gear for amateur-use on the market. Stuart Meyer, W2GHK, who worked for Hammarlund, became the QSL manager for this trip. Hammarlund and W2GHK are the reason that Gus did use the suffix H in most calls (if possible). From February until June, Gus traveled through Bhutan, Sikkim and Tibet The next country was Nepal. Father Charles Moran, 9N1MM was his host, and Gus was QRV with the call of the priest. In June Gus showed up in Afghanistan, and in this country he could use the suffix H several times being active from different provinces. In August, Gus ends his activity after seven mothts touring the Himalaya mountain countries, and traveled to the Middle East. His third trip however, is not over. Gus Browning, The CokeMan
